She began leading Chase the Unseen in 2003. Under her inspiring leadership, the team has grown and matured with each year together. A talented musician, vocalist, and dancer, Jessica’s leadership role in Chase the Unseen has been the greatest responsibility God has entrusted her with to date and she considers it a great privilege each time she is afforded the opportunity to lead others in worship. Her favorite memories with the band are the times they have spent in deep worship. “There is nothing in the world like being deep in the presence of God and taking a moment to look around,” she explains. “Seeing my whole team and youth group on their face before the Father as they experience a new side of Jesus is, by far, the most rewarding part of leading worship.” A big believer in corporate worship, Jessica recognizes that something truly powerful takes place when the people of God lock arms to war in worship and adoration. “The more we love and adore the Father,” she says, “the stronger our armor gets for battle.” And while Jessica enjoys leading Chase the Unseen, she is also employed full-time as a registered nurse and loves spending her free time with her big family. She is grateful for Andrew, her husband of five years, who she says, “is truly amazing”. Together, they eagerly await the arrival of their first child in December 2010.

To her, worship is a time to connect with her Father and express her love and passion to Him. She loves to worship with the song Light of Your Face by Misty Edwards, Dance with Me by Chris Dupre, and several more. Layna also worships to songs she has written herself during intimate times with her Prince. Her favorite memories of the band are when everyone is immersed in deep, raw worship. Layna has played the piano for twelve years and has been with “Chase the Unseen” for the last four.

Another one of his hobbies is to play the electric guitar, which he has impressively only been playing for three years. This is his 2nd year with the band, and he enjoys being a part because he is able to worship deeper when he plays his guitar during praise and worship. Also, he says he loves to worship with his friends in the band that are somewhat of a family. To Daniel, worship is his ability to express to God how he loves him through music. He….
